WEDNESDAY NIGHT AT THE GAZEBO
Live Music By THE TUMBLEWEEDZ
Date: Wednesday, May 18, 2011
Time: 6:30 – 7:30 PM
Location: At the Gazebo on Center Street (US Hwy 89) between State Bank and the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints
Description: Playing a variety of folk and bluegrass music on guitar, banjo, mandolins, bass, fiddle, and harmonica, the Tumbleweedz offer their original songs, plus compositions gathered from singers and songwriters like John Prine, Greg Brown, Ian Tyson, Kate Wolf, Bob Dylan, Hank Williams, Iris Dement, and Gillian Welch. The band may even throw in a few traditional or old time pickin’ tunes for good measure. The band recently created their first CD, Tumbleweedz On a Roll, and will soon produce their second, Tumbleweedz in Your Backyard. The Tumbleweedz are a bunch of local Kanab folks who sometimes show up in unexpected places. Come on out and drift along with the Tumbleweedz. They may rub off on ya!
