GEMS OF THE COSMOS

Date:
Friday, May 20, 2011
Time: 9:30 PM
Location: 1021 Country Club Drive, Kanab. Travel east on US 89, turn at the GSENM Visitor Center, follow Fairway Drive east beyond the Golf Course to its end. Turn right onto Country Club Drive and watch for the fire circle on the left (north) side of the street.

Description: Gathered around the campfire, we will use our minds, eyes and a telescope to explore sparkling gems in our spring night sky with the goal of finding THE most splendid jewel of the cosmos. Spontaneous, informal conversation and expressions are welcomed. Dress warmly, bring binoculars and your favorite non-alcoholic beverage or light refreshments to share. If night skies are cloudy, the occasion will evolve. Stories, poetry, and music in the glow of the embers will be encouraged. Von Del Chamberlain and Rod Cameron will host. Seating is available, but you may bring your own folding chair and flashlight if you desire.”
