SUNSET PHOTOGRAPHY WORKSHOP

Date: Wednesday, May 18
Time: 6:00 PM – 9:00 PM
Location: Coral Pink Sand Dunes State Park

Directions: Meet at the Earthfest Information Table, Kane County Office of Tourism, 78 South 100 East, Kanab. Carpool to Coral Pink Sand Dunes State Park. From Kanab, drive north on Hwy 89, and turn left onto Hancock Road. Go to the end of the road. Turn left at the Tee, onto Yellow Jacket Road. Continue to Coral Pink Sand Dunes State Park entrance, which will be on your left. Park Entrance Fee of $5.00 per vehicle is required.

Description: Join professional photographers Barry Glazier and Bruce Andersen for a free, “plein air” photo outing to capture the dramatic sunset at nearby Coral Pink Sand Dunes. This is a hands-on field workshop for photography enthusiasts of all levels, beginner to advanced, and with any camera gear, digital or film. Barry and Bruce will share their passion and knowledge in the arts of composition, light, exposure and camera handling as they apply to landscape and close-up photography. Bring your questions about camera equipment and nature photography techniques, and enjoy an evening sharing photo “shop talk” in a magnificent setting. An alternative destination will be Diana’s Throne, in the White Cliffs near Hwy 89 north of Kanab, if high winds create unsuitable conditions for photography at the Dunes. Wear clothing appropriate for weather conditions and bring water and snacks or a sandwich.
