Where is Kanab, Utah????

At 5,000 feet above sea level, Kanab is located in southwestern Utah and is the seat of Kane County. A truly remarkable location on the western edge of the Colorado Plateau, Kanab is a 3-hour drive from Las Vegas, or a 5-hour drive from Salt Lake City.

Surrounded by so many National and State Parks, National Forests, Monuments and Public Lands, this region of the American Southwest offers unlimited opportunities for outdoor adventure and exploration of the natural wonders of southern Utah and the Arizona Strip.

When you attend Amazing Earthfest, you’re in the heart of it all! These world-class scenic, adventure destinations are all within a half-day’s drive from Kanab: Zion National Park, Bryce Canyon National Park, Grand Canyon National Park (North Rim), Capitol Reef National Park, Kaibab National Forest, Dixie National Forest, Grand Staircase-Escalante National Monument, Pipe Spring National Monument, Cedar Breaks National Monument, Vermilion Cliffs National Monument, Grand Canyon Parashant National Monument, Glen Canyon National Recreation Area (Lake Powell), Red Cliffs National Conservation Area, Coral Pink Sand Dunes State Park, Kodachrome Basin State Park, Petrified Forest State Park, Snow Canyon State Park and Valley of Fire State Park.

Weather in the month of May

Due to its proximity to southern Utah’s high plateaus, spring weather in Kanab can be variable. In May you can expect delightful sunny weather with daytime temps in the 70s and 80s, but be prepared for all conditions, including the possibility of snow at higher elevations! Nighttime low temps will usually be 30 to 50 degrees cooler than the daily high. For current weather conditions in Kanab visit
