On any day during the festival, be sure to visit our Amazing Earthfest Information Table, outside the Kane County Office of Tourism, 78 South 100 East, Kanab, open mornings from 7:30 AM to 10:00 AM, and afternoons from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM.

Where is Kanab, Utah????

At 5,000 feet above sea level, Kanab is located in southwestern Utah and is the seat of Kane County. A truly remarkable location on the western edge of the Colorado Plateau, Kanab is a 3-hour drive from Las Vegas, or a 5-hour drive from Salt Lake City.

Surrounded by so many National and State Parks, National Forests, Monuments and Public Lands, this region of the American Southwest offers unlimited opportunities for outdoor adventure and exploration of the natural wonders of southern Utah and the Arizona Strip.

When you attend Amazing Earthfest, you’re in the heart of it all! These world-class scenic, adventure destinations are all within a half-day’s drive from Kanab: Zion National Park, Bryce Canyon National Park, Grand Canyon National Park (North Rim), Capitol Reef National Park, Kaibab National Forest, Dixie National Forest, Grand Staircase-Escalante National Monument, Pipe Spring National Monument, Cedar Breaks National Monument, Vermilion Cliffs National Monument, Grand Canyon Parashant National Monument, Glen Canyon National Recreation Area (Lake Powell), Red Cliffs National Conservation Area, Coral Pink Sand Dunes State Park, Kodachrome Basin State Park, Petrified Forest State Park, Snow Canyon State Park and Valley of Fire State Park.

Weather in the month of May

Due to its proximity to southern Utah’s high plateaus, spring weather in Kanab can be variable. In May you can expect delightful sunny weather with daytime temps in the 70s and 80s, but be prepared for all conditions, including the possibility of snow at higher elevations! The Kane County Office of Tourism, a major contributor to Amazing Earthfest, would like to know how many people attend the festival each year and where they’re coming from. To gather that information, we ask everyone attending Amazing Earthfest to visit the Amazing Earthfest Information Table and register by leaving your name, email address and place of origin.

Registration to attend the events of the annual Amazing Earthfest is free. To help us meet our budget for creating the festival, we encourage you to place a voluntary donation in the cookie jar when you register. Every contribution helps us keep hearth and home as we produce this exceptional, one-of-a-kind festival for your enjoyment of southern Utah and the Arizona Strip! Voluntary donation jars will be available at most events.
