Ever Thought of Relocating to Southern Utah?

Can you imagine living in a place that offers unlimited opportunities for outdoor recreation on public lands; lands belonging to all Americans, spanning 9,000 feet of elevation change with climate zones and ecologies differing dramatically, and sporting a plethora of exquisitely beautiful settings? Where’s that, you say? That is southern Utah.

But wait, there’s more to living the good life than just a place. What about the culture? Everyone needs to find inspiration from their community too, because people thrive when they can establish social bonds and friendships with others whose values and world views resonate harmoniously. In Kanab, Utah, a tiny nonprofit is helping to connect a growing community of caring individuals who love their national public lands and are moving to southern Utah from across the nation to explore them! A new slice of community identity is gradually emerging: one of care for the Earth and all the creatures who live here.

Gateway communities that have sufficient supporting services and are richly endowed with natural beauty, like Kanab where the Earthfest is held, are becoming destinations for people seeking a great place to relocate or just to enjoy a memorable vacation. That magical surrounding landscape of color, whose easily accessible protected public lands include Zion, Bryce and Grand Canyon National Parks plus ten more lesser-known gems, is a pretty rare occurrence, even in the seemingly limitless unspoiled expanse of the American West!

The micro-sized nonprofit Amazing Earthfest produces its macro-scale annual community festival of learning, discovery, arts and adventure by featuring experiential events that highlight the wonders of the natural world, and the quality of life and place that nearby federal lands provide.

Beginning on Mother’s Day, May 8, the 10th annual Amazing Earthfest will welcome visitors from across the nation to attend events in five categories including Arts and Culture, Community, Documentary Film, Outdoor Adventure, and Science and Land. It’s a celebration of the National Park Service Centennial, the 20th Anniversary of Grand Staircase-Escalante National Monument, of land and life on the Colorado Plateau! Visit Kanab to enjoy the incredible personal enrichment of these scheduled activities. Complete details are at your fingertips by visiting: www.AmazingEarthfest.org.
